King’s Warwick

Maguire & Co. are delighted to be retained to advise the developers of the historic former King’s High School site in the centre of Warwick.

The School have recently relocated to a new facility on Banbury Road and the old school site was acquired by local developers Wake Green in late 2018.

After detailed pre application consultation with Warwick District Council, The Warwick Society and local residents, Wake Green have now submitted a detailed planning application to Warwick District Council for the transformation of the site to create an aspirational new residential quarter in the heart of Warwick Town Centre.

The proposed scheme comprises 135 apartments, townhouses and mews houses designed to blend the historic fabric of the town, with contemporary architecture designed to the highest specification. The proposed scheme will include the conversion and reanimation of the Grade II listed Landor House back into a dwelling house and the sympathetic conversion of a number of the existing school buildings including 1 and 3 Smith Street, The Red House and The Main Hall. The former Weslyan Chapel building and 10 - 14 Chapel Street will also be retained and converted into residential accommodation.

Further information on the proposed scheme and planning application is available on request.
